The final deadline to buy tickets for the grand prize is midnight on Friday, April 22, but early bird draws are earlier.

Ford’s 50/50 Plus 4 CHEO is back and this year’s prizes are aplenty.

There’s still a month left to get your hands on tickets for the draw, 50 per cent of which goes to winners while the other 50 per cent goes towards Ottawa’s children’s hospital.

The grand prize winner this year not only takes home half of the cash jackpot — which, as of Monday, March 21, stands at $530,875 — but a 2022 black Ford F-150 4×4 Super Crew (or take $50,000 cash).

“Last year, our winner took home a little over $1.4 million, and of course, the brand new F-150 truck,” Dan Champagne, vice-president of corporate and community development at the CHEO Foundation, said on The Sam Laprade Show on Monday, March 21. “Marty Kosh was a gentleman’s name and I asked him what he was going to do with all that money, and he was as serious as a heart attack and said, ‘I’m going to buy some land in Costa Rica and I want to have three goats.’”

There’s no word as to whether or not last year’s winner succeeded in buying his land and goats.

“Whatever your dream is, you sure can do it with over a million bucks,” Champagne joked.

There are two early bird prizes that will also be drawn for.

The first includes an ultimate home gym from FitnessDepot that comes with an Echelon EX-7 connect bike, Octane Pro 3700 elliptical and a Power Rack-Functional trainer. The package is valued at $20,000, and the final day to buy your ticket to be eligible was on Friday, March 18.

This prize will be drawn on Tuesday, March 29. There is no cash substitute for this prize.

The second early bird prize is a week-long vacation at the Springwood Cottage Resort located on Kennebec Lake, in the Central Frontenac region of eastern Ontario for the winner and a guest.

The value of this prize is listed as $3,025 each and the deadline to buy tickets for this prize is on Friday, April 1.

There will be three winners picked for the week-long vacation.

Winners of this prize also get a $200 voucher to use at the Springwood General Store and a 1.5 hour private pontoon boat tour on Kennebec Lake.

The final deadline to buy tickets is midnight on Friday, April 22 for the grand prize.
